Video review of Freefall

My Google Alert Manager (a.k.a. my husband) let me know that Freefall was reviewed in a video this week. Kennedy from Peace, Love, and Peaches put together a five-minute video where she talks about the book and some of her feelings about it. She didn't go into too many plot spoilers, so if you haven't read the book and want to hear a little more about what it's like without hearing too much, I think it's pretty safe to watch. :-)

Talking about Contemporary YA

Young Adult has several genres from which to choose. These days, I think paranormal books (Twilight and such) get a lot of attention, but there are many YA readers who love contemporary, realistic fiction as well. Search results for my website have shown me that some readers out there who have read Freefall are looking for similar books to check out.

One of these days I'll have to put together a list of contemporary novels that I've read and recommend. For now, though, I'll direct you elsewhere!

Kelley Vitollo wrote about "Contemporary LOVE" and gave a few recommendations based upon her recent reads. There is also a discussion in the comments with further suggestions.

Kari at A Good Addition posted her "Top Five Reasons to Read Contemporary Fiction." She also offered suggestions and the conversation continued in the comments section.

I hope these post give you some good ideas. Happy reading!

Freefall's 6-month anniversary + FAQ

Over at my blog yesterday, I put together a post where I answered some of the most common plot-related questions that come up regarding Freefall. There are lots of spoilers and you can check it out here! Also, I just want to reiterate here what I said at the end of that post: I am very appreciative of everyone who has made the past six months so gratifying for me by picking up Freefall, recommending it friends, taking the time to write to me about it, and getting excited already for my next book Live Through This. You are all amazing! So THANK YOU! <3

Confessional Guest Blog

I recently wrote a guest blog for Katie at Call Me Crazy YA Book Reviews in which I reveal something about my teen years that I've never revealed before. DUN DUN DUN. Intrigued? Maybe a teeny, tiny bit? Well, then please check out the post!  :-D
