It's been a while since I've tidied my home office.  Papers have been piling up since I haven't done any filing since last spring, and various random junk is EVERYWHERE.

So, I'm cleaning today.  I'm getting my writing space back in order to get ready for my next project.  I'm putting away everything I've kept close at hand while writing THE FAKE MCCOY that I'm not going to need anymore:  Interpersonal Communications textbooks, Seth's class schedule, a calendar (with real Seattle weather for the dates of the story), the journal I used for all my note-taking, the floor plan for Seth's place, etc.

I have to say, I got a little teary-eyed just now while packing everything away.  Taking that floor plan off my bulletin board almost did me in.  Truly, this stuff has been accumulating and has become part of my daily life for a year and a half now.  I'm sure it won't take long to get used to it all being gone.  I'll probably start messing things up again as I collect stuff to start on my next story very quickly!  Still, it's kind of sad.

Nineteen days after finishing, I'm finally starting to move forward.
